What Axial-Glide Actually Means
Traditional sliding miter saws use steel rails that the saw head rides along. These rails develop slop over time and can introduce wobble into cuts. Bosch’s Axial-Glide system eliminates the rails entirely, using a different articulation mechanism that the company claims is more accurate over time. In 18 months of finish carpentry use, our cuts have not degraded in precision. The saw still returns to 90° with a satisfying, solid click.
